Jesse Dorsey and Wannarisi Kongman are founders of the Thailand-based brand that has become big in Bangkok and it’s now looking to expand in America. Wannasiri Kongman and Jesse Dorsey met in 2004 in New York City; Jesse had been working as a musician in the city since the age of 22 and Wannasari was studying fashion and working as a waitress, having moved to Bangkok in 2003. Thanks to Jesse’s contacts within the music industry and Wannassiri’s obsession with handbags, they created in 2007 the brand every It-girl is carrying around. Boyy is Italian sourced, manufactured in Bangkok and created in New York, now selling in more than 85 stores. The brand’s styles include soft boxy shapes with a thick belt in the front. Roomy bags can be worn as a crossbody with pilgrim-y belts have become Boyy’s signature. Among the best-sellers are Slash, Romeo, and the Bobby Bag. They’re the perfect mixture of cool and classic to be carried at power lunch or boozy brunch to a fun or intimate night downtown. In other words, it’s the bag that’s supposed to go with all of your outfits.
